I had 3 different dreams...

I had 3 different dreams, here they are...

The first was, I was in a small gallery, in the middle of the gallery was the sun, the real sun, glowing, filling the whole room with its glowing energy...

The second dream was, it was nightime, & Joseph & I were preparing to go out flying...Yes, flying...I guess with wings or something...Just before we went out to go for a night flight, our neighbour Grace came to us with a waiver to sign in case something bad happened to us...

The third dream was of a really scary big criminal looking jailed prisoner just looking at me...Big guy...in prison...nuff said...

Here is my interpretation, with some help from Joseph...1) was about the Energy gallery I had just applied to...the Sun in all its glory...2)was about this gallery who charges artists to show- the fly by night interpretation ...3) was my thinking I should stop selling originals & just sell prints- possibly criminal because prints are really the work of printers not the artist...

Turns out the Energy gallery dream was closer to a Rising Sun kind of interpretation...They have affiliations with galleries in China, which, to be honest, I do not want to go to China...So...end of energy gallery for me... The fly by night dream actually seems to be a scene from batman which I just saw, where Batman leaps off a building, extends his big black wings & soars through Gotham city at night...awesome! The guy in prison may also be the scene from Batman where the convict throws away the detonator that would blow up a bunch of people, but save his skin...It was a noble act, and the moment in the movie, the Tipping Point, where you start to really care about the people & realise that this Batman movie is no cliche...

Well, after a bit of a fiasco with ANNT & ArtBarn School, I nonetheless felt better for the dignity of feeling wanted...To boot, they refunded my membership fee $86.00 which was very classy...Joining a group is always a good emotional boost, which I needed after the Kohl Gallery closed in March, leaving me unrepresented... Then, I submitted to the Energy Gallery, thinking I was a shoe in...Apparently I was up against a Korean artist who had already shown at the MOMA, so poop I didn't get in- though the curator told me to apply again- but I am sullen that way & not likely to climb the same wall twice- Plus, duh the location was a dangerous part of the city, so truth, I was glad to be free, having discovered the dark underbelly only after submitting... Plus, how good is a gallery who is always closed when you drop by unexpectedly? I must say, I did a good deed by walking out to see Kurt Rostek showing at New gallery...During this garbage strike, walkers by are scarce & I new it would make this much matured artist's day by appearing... The Faeries of good fortune appreciated by good deed, & favoured me with a chance finding of a call for artists at Dessinee Gallery...Lo & behold both the owner & lady curator were friendly, a rare & unique occurence on this planet- &, it looks like things may be gong my way once again... One thing I must reiterate- Helping a fellow artist is a nice thing to do, & brings rewards- for those who think being mean to your competition is the way to go...
